EDEN

Suite 03

Colombí

The lowest, most sheltered house, beside the water. Named for the colombí dove that nests in the forest.

Colombí is where the forest closes in. It's the lowest house in the cluster — sheltered among the vegetation, away from the valley's edge — and the only one where you hear water: a stream falling from the páramo that passes a few metres from the open bath.

It takes its name from the colombí dove, which nests in the gloom of the understory and coos low at dusk. The house answers with dark, warm interiors, low deep glass, a bed arranged to listen more than to look.

It's the house for someone who comes to disappear a while. It hasn't the view of Cera nor the light of Niebla; it has something harder to offer — the feeling of being completely inside the forest, and not in front of it.
